A lovely family based in Islington are seeking an experienced and caring part time nanny housekeeper to support the care of their two children, aged 1 year old and 7 years old, while helping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a warm, proactive and reliable candidate who enjoys balancing childcare with housekeeping responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience caring for young children, be organised and able to use their initiative, ensuring the children are happy, safe and well cared for while keeping the household running smoothly. Applicants must also be pet friendly and comfortable working in a home with pets. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for both children
- supporting the 1-year-old’s feeding, nap and developmental routines
- planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- supporting school routines for the older child
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- general housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- keeping the children’s bedrooms, nursery and play areas tidy and organised
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- running household errands when required
- helping with pet-related tasks when needed
- ensuring the home remains tidy, organised and welcoming at all times
