A kind and welcoming couple based in Ringwood are seeking an experienced and compassionate full time carer / housekeeper / cook to support them in their daily lives. The family are open to both live in and live out candidates and are looking for someone who is caring, dependable and able to provide practical assistance while maintaining a comfortable and well-organised home.
The role combines companionship and personal support with housekeeping and cooking responsibilities. The lady has Parkinson’s and the gentleman is recovering following heart bypass surgery, so the ideal candidate will be patient, attentive and experienced in supporting older adults while respecting their independence. Previous experience in a similar role and excellent references are essential.
Duties would include:
- providing companionship and day-to-day support
- assisting with personal care when required
- supporting mobility and encouraging independence
- helping with medication reminders if needed
- preparing fresh, nutritious meals and snacks
- planning weekly menus and grocery shopping
- general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- monitoring household supplies and running errands
- accompanying the couple to appointments or outings if required
- helping maintain a safe, comfortable and well-organised home environment
