A warm and welcoming family based in Southwell are seeking an experienced and professional housekeeper / cook to join their household on either a live in or live out basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised candidate who enjoys maintaining a busy family home while preparing fresh, nutritious meals.
The family have five children, however this is not a nannying role, with the focus being on housekeeping and cooking. The ideal candidate will be confident managing household tasks independently, have excellent attention to detail and enjoy working in a family environment. The household also has two small dogs, so applicants must be pet friendly and comfortable around animals. Previous experience in a similar private household role and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- full housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- making beds and changing bed linen
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- organising cupboards, wardrobes and storage areas
- planning and preparing fresh, healthy family meals
- batch cooking and meal preparation when required
- keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and well organised
- monitoring household supplies and assisting with grocery shopping when needed
- helping care for the family’s two small dogs when required
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly at all times
